Presented By: Nick Stolberg

Event: ECHO International Agriculture Conference 2018 (14/11/2018)

Sustainable and regenerative farming make sense, but how can it be applied in developing markets? Nick will be discussing the business approach he has brought to farming and how to make the farm successful in the long term. New Roots Haiti farms pastured poultry, pastured pork, and grass fed beef. The farm is located in Northern Haiti.

Nick Stolberg

Nick Stolberg grew up in Washington State. He graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Business Administration. Nick and his wife moved to Haiti in 2010 and worked at an Infant Care Center for 5 years. There they learned the language and culture. They began to realize that if Haiti was to change, missions had to change as well. Long-term development needed to go hand in hand with economic development. In 2016 Nick read the Joel Salatin books on Pastured Poultry and the vision was formed. After a visit to Polyface Farms, Nick returned to start building the farm.
