PARM’s capacity development (CD) activities aim to improve stakeholders’ knowledge on agricultural risk and increase their management capacities to address all types of risks. The Guidelines consist of the supporting materials for trainers of Agriculture Risk Management (ARM) Capacity Development (CD) activity along with the Manual. The aim of the Guidelines is to support and facilitate knowledge transfer, providing tips that go from the organization of the seminar to the preparation of successful learning activities adapted to the local context.
In particular, this document was developed to support PARM’s CD1 activity, which is a 2-day seminar aim at raising awareness and providing basic knowledge on ARM since 2014. CD1 targets mostly farmers and government officers. The overall material can be used for similar pieces of training at the country level, delivered for example by extension workers or practitioners in the field of agriculture.
