Interactive key and information resources for flowering plants of the Neotropics

Neotropikey is an international project based at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, developing identification and information resources for the flowering plants of the Neotropical region (tropical South and Central America).

The Neotropikey project was launched in 2006 with the aim of developing interactive identification keys for Neotropical angiosperm families (using Lucid 3 software). In addition, we are building family webpages linked directly to keys.  To date more than 100 specialists have contributed, describing 240 of the 320 Neotropical plant families.  In order to complete the project, we would like to count on the cooperation of specialists in the remaining plant families (see list below).  Any questions you may have, please write to the following address: neotropikey@kew.org
