If we seek to serve smallholder farmers and their communities, it is essential that we first ask to understand the challenges they face. Join me as I walk through my own journey of discovery in this realm and the surprising answers I have learned from smallholder farmers across Asia. This talk will highlight findings from my own '5 Questions I Ask Every Farmer" approach and will subsequently transition us into this year's conference theme of going "from Surviving to Thriving".
