Recipe Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in large pot
- Stir together and cook until it starts to boil
- Turn down heat and cook on low heat until thick and shiny at least ½ hour, stirring frequently
- Long slow cooking gives the rich ‘butter’ flavor and blends spices
- Pour into canning jars and close the lids.
- Put jars in large pot and cover with hot water.
- Bring water to a boil and process for 10 minutes
- Remove jars carefully and let cool.
- NOTE: This recipe can be used with any tropical fruits such as papaya, cooking bananas, tecojotes, etc.
