Evaluation of Species & Provenances for Agroforestry Technologies

This presentation introduces and defines the concept of Multipurpose Trees and Shrubs in agroforestry. It lists the special features of them and describes ways to identify such species for specific agroforestry technologies and agro-ecological zones. One they have been identified, collected species and provenances need to be evaluated both in nurseries and inspecies elimination trials. The presentation ends with a description of the most common data that will be collected in such trials.
