This book focuses on various types of photosynthetic resources for energy, chemicals, food, and materials utilization. The chapters are presented under six general classifications of temperate agricultural crops, temperate silvicultural crops, tropical and subtropical silvicultural crops, aquatic plants, and residual photosynthetic resouurces. Volume II presents only plant materials.
Many of the biosolar resources dicussed in this volume are thought of today primarily in terms of their potential for food or animal feed production.
