Presented By: Dr. Austen Moore
Event: ECHO International Agriculture Conference 2017 (2017/11/14)
Agricultural extension plays a fundamental role in advancing agricultural development in post-conflict countries. Dr. Moore will elaborate the impacts of different extension policy approaches and practices in post-conflict settings and identify the key elements needed to rebuild agricultural extension systems and programs in such contexts. He will discuss key strategies, successes and failures, and lessons learned from multiple countries’ experiences and issues involved in rebuilding their extension systems. Those involved in public and private agricultural policy-making and programming will gain insights towards strengthening extension systems in even the most challenging environments.
