Speaker Bio: Dr. Elino Requidan Jr., also known as Doc Boyet, is a Veterinary Doctor who owns the Vaughn’s Eco Farm in Rosario, La Union. He graduated as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Gregorio Araneta University Foundation, Manila in 2000. He is currently employed at Agri-Bio Phil. Inc and has been working there since 2001. At Vaughn’s Eco Farm, Doc Boyet is raising native pigs, sheep, and different breeds of poultry (ducks, chickens, turkey, doves, peacock, and other fowls). His family is also managing man-made forest and rice fields. Vaughn’s Eco Farm was recently accredited as a Learning Site by Agriculture Training Institute of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Tourism.
Abstract: The main component of a successful swine or animal production is Nutrition. During this workshop, participants will learn how to provide optimum environments for pigs and how to develop good feeds and feeding management strategies.
