We’re proud of that record, but focused on the challenges ahead. Extreme poverty and suffering persist in too many parts of the world. One billion people struggle to live on less than $1.25 a day. That’s unacceptable.
We work with some of the world’s poorest people to transform their lives. We do this by transforming into action the concern of our global supporters, team, partners, and the communities themselves. We work in a number of program areas, with particular focus on helping people recover from disaster, get nutritious food and adequate health care, and strengthen their resilience to the effects of climate change.
