Vigna radiata is an annual, erect or semi-erect legume, reaching heights up to 1.25 m. V. radiata produces 4-30 yellow or green flowers per cluster that become pubescent pods. Leaves are alternate and trifoliate.

Lao
Day-neutral, bush variety; approximately 60 days from seed to flowering. Green seed.
Lombok
Indonesian variety. Taller than other varieties - will grow to about 1 m (3.2 ft). The pods are larger and will produce more seed.
Mappe Green
A drought resistant variety that matures in 100 days. It is commonly used for making dhal or for growing bean sprouts.
