Orangel R. Larez

The overall aim of the pasture-livestock project has been to understand and modify where possible or necessary, those factots that make for a viable beef and dairy cattle industry in the Orinoco Delta. Observations and experiments have been carried out in the following aspects: adaptability of forage grasses and legumes, pasture establishment, fertility and management, limiting nutrients to forage production on different soil types, grass-legume associations, cattle grazing trials with native and introduced grasses and milk production studies.
