African marigold is an upright growing, aromatic annual plant that gets up to 1.25 m in height. It has showy fragrant flowers up to 10 cm in diameter. This plant is noted for repelling nematodes when planted as a cover crop, then cut, and incorporated into the soil. It acts as a fumigant as the leafy material breaks down.
This heirloom variety grows up to 0.9m in height and its blooms are yellow to deep orange.
