The presentation then highlights the application of the systems concept to agriculture and defines farming systems, cropping systems, land use systems. The different types of system interactions are explained and system assessment criteria are given. The final part deals with the kind of questions that need to be answered in the context of systems analysis and describes the role of multi and terndiscipclinary in systems research.
