The purpose of this book is to present a strategy for increasing the income of small farmers and generating socioeconomic development in tropical regions. The strategy consists of setting up an integrated development project for catalyzing technical, financial, and organizational resources so farmers can link themselves to expansive new markets for their produce, through the introduction of novel or improved conservation or processing technologies.
