Book-keeping 1: Cashbooks - 2020-05-26

This is the first book in a series of three. It describes cashbook accounting for a small business such as a womens' co-operative. It includes the importance of a budget, laying out the cashbook, income and expenditure entries, receipts and invoices, checking the account, advances, estimates, deposits and the use of a bank.

This edition was published in 2019 by MissionAssist. It was originally published as Compatibilité: Principes de Base by Margaret Kuratli.

Pre-Reading Age Children - 2020-05-26

This is a book to stimulate the minds of young children before they can read. There are 180 sets of figures such as drawings of everyday objects, shapes, designs, letters, numbers, groups of two and three letters and punctuation marks. Each set has four identical objects and one "odd one out". Teachers and parents can use the pictures to encourage their children to recognise similarities and differences before they learn to recognise separate letters.

This has been adapted from a booklet originally produced in August 2008 by the SIL Press, Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea, in the Kobai language of Morobe Province, PNG. This edition was published in the United Kingdom in 2020 by MissionAssist.

Parts of the Body - 2020-05-26

Most of the external parts of the body are illustrated and have three text boxes attached for different languages. The top box has the name in English. The middle box is blank for the equivalent in a local language to be added. The bottom box is also blank for the name to be copied in manuscript. Any of the boxes can be deleted if not required. A list of singular and plural forms is also given.

Book-keeping 3: Balance Sheet - 2020-05-26

This is the third in a series of three books dealing with financial accounting. It deals with end of year procedures and the final checks that need to be made before closure. These include: totalling all columns, reconciling income and expenditure form trading accounts, transferring balances to a general fund, producing a profit and loss account, a balance sheet and the requirements for an audit or independent examination.

Book-keeping 2: Double Entry - 2020-05-26

This is book two in a series of three on financial book-keeping. It provides an explanation of double-entry book-keeping, starting from the making of a suitable cashbook if one large enough is not commercially available. It covers: converting from a cashbook account, dealing with an initial grant, cash, bank and trading-account columns, purchases and sales, entries to different trading accounts, cash to and from a bank, debtors, creditors, assets, depreciation, correction of errors, bank reconciliation, petty cash and the procedures to follow at the end of a page.
