If they are adopted widely and carried out carefully, the production of poultry products can be increased maniford at a comparatively low cost. The feeding and handling methods outlined have in the main, two aims, firstly to make use of the existing facilties so as to produce low-cost poutry feed, and secondly to increase efficiency and returns by means of a housing system known as deep litter practice.
