Recipe Instructions:

  1.  Combine all ingredients except oil, starting with dry ingredients, in large bowl and mix to smooth consistency.
  2. Heat oil to frying temperature (medium heat) and carefully place spoonsful of the mixture in the oil.
  3. Fry until golden.
  4. Drain and sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
  5. Serve with tamarind chutney.
