Food is a basic human need, yet the prevalence of food insecurity (a combination of limited household income, limited community access, and availability of nutritious food) is a critical reflection of the failure of the current food system. We have become disconnected from the process of food, so far removed that it is of little consequence what we put into our mouths.
Not only does food define our identity, but it also shapes our physical, mental, social and economic existence. We must understand that how we eat, determines how the world is used.
Aquasol International is a nonprofit organization focused on developing solutions to these issues. We are developing sustainable farms where we are creating household incomes, access to nutritious food, and reconnecting communities to the food process.
