Due to structure error and the incompleteness of combustion reaction, the traditional cook stove cannot utilize the generated heat more than 8-10%. This results in higher usage of fuel and increases environmental pollution and health hazard. Improved Stoves increase the efficiency of fuel consumption and to an extent reduce pollution for indoor cooking environments. This research work was an effort to manufacture rocket stove i.e. improved stove which would be both economically affordable and environmentally sound. The stove was manufactured in such a way so it would be user-friendly. Results obtained from the performance tests of the designed rocket stove were satisfactory. The thermal efficiency was found 30.52% from the performance test of the stove. The concentration of CO was ranged from 4.58 mg/m 3 to 14.89 mg/m3 .
