This course will dive into the agricultural systems that are used on small tropical farms. Learn how to utilize perennial crops to your advantage! This course will give hands on experience to those who are interested in kick starting a small tropical farm system. Each subject taught will be given ample time to understand and interact with the material
This interactive and practical course will span one week, covering:
- Agroforestry
- Underutilized Tropical Crops
- Fruit Tree Management
- Nursery Management
- Propagation
- Conservation Agriculture
- Foundations for Farming
- Seed saving

Lodging
- Lodging is provided for attendees (except those who take advantage of the SW Florida resident discount)
- Housing is shared
- In some cases bathrooms are shared
- In some cases dormitory style housing is utilized
- Please let us know if you have concerns climbing up or down stairs.
There is limited space for spouse or family housing. Please contact the course coordinator to see if this option is available.

- Lunch and dinner are eaten communally
