We have the pleasure to inform you that an ECHO East Africa Highlands Symposium II entitled "Best practices of sustainable agriculture and livestock in highlands" will take place at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Addis Ababa from 1st-3rd November 2016.

SCHOLARSHIPS

TWELVE SCHOLARSHIPS/WAIVERS FOR WOMEN are available for 12 women research and development workers from Ethiopia or East Africa to attend the ECHO Highlands Symposium from 1st-3rd November, 2016. This opportunity comes through the Meredith Murnyak Scholarship fund and constitutes a waiver of the $175 registration fee for those whose applications are approved. Please apply through email to ekinsey@echonet.org and skasubi@echonet.org. Priority will be given to applicants whose organizations cannot support them to attend. This does not cover applicants' accommodation, travel, breakfasts & evening meals, costs which are not provided from the registration fee

The deadline for your submission is 30th September, 2016. Notifications of acceptance will be sent to early applicants within a month from submission, and for late submissions, by 15th October, 2016. The symposium language is English. We request your submission to include your theme title, a 3 sentences summary of the theme, and 3 sentences for your biodata to be included in the Symposium booklet. Submissions are welcome from 18th February onwards.
