Session: This session will describe how growing selected mango varieties are starting to contribute to poverty reduction in Madagascar. It will describe the efforts of the largest protestant denomination in Madagascar to spread mango varieties and grafting techniques through structures of the church. Key elements are having a collection of good mango varieties, setting up sustainable fruit nurseries, and establishing a training program for farmers and church members.
