COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Equip participants with viable, sustainable, appropriate, natural based food growing methods to combat food insecurity, poverty and malnutrition.
- Provide an environment for participants to learn, understand and practice God’s design for an integrated and inter-relational approach to agriculture, food production, and resource stewardship.
- Equip participants as change agents and trainers in the sphere and vocation of agriculture who can impact and train others.
- Develop ambassadors of reconciliation and healing in the sphere of agriculture.
- Restore agriculture as a viable, honorable and marketable vocation.
- Equip participants with knowledge and skills in recognized and viable natural and organic food growing methods as an alternative to and in contrast to the commonly promoted conventional agriculture practices.
- Equip participants with a broad based understanding of the principles, practices, methods and technologies of sustainable, conservation and organic agriculture.
- Equip participants to identify and use locally available resources for sustainable, reproducible and environmentally sensitive food production.
- Provide living laboratory learning of various conservation and organic food production models.
