Growing Vegetables in Fiji
Kirk Dahlgren
This out-of-print Peace Corps publication in Fiji was such a good concise guide to gardening in hot, humid climates that ECHO republished the book. It treats both vegetables that are well adapted to such climates and special techniques to grow some temperate vegetables that can be difficult but bring a good price locally when they can be grown.
Growing vegetables in Fiji is for anyone interested in raising vegetables - whether home, school, or market gardens. The book discusses the Fiji medium for plant growth, cultural methods of vegetables, Fiji garden crops, growing vegetables under plastic, and composting and mulching.
