The New Testament is the book that deals with Jesus Christ. It is that part of the Bible that was written after the coming of Christ, and that refers to the new covenant, or testament, that God has made with his people. This covenant is based on the good news that God has promised to save those who trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The New Testament not only tells this story; It also requires from its readers a decision and a vital commitment.
The New Testament is composed of twenty-seven books, written by some twelve authors over a period of approximately fifty years. Although varied in style and content, these books present a single theme that unites them: God's love for humanity, revealed in the person of Jesus Christ.
