Kiswahili Practical Permaculture Design Course

The Practical Permaculture Institute Zanzibar (PPIZ) offers opportunities for gardeners, farmers and staff to be trained in pratical skills for enhancing the beauty of gardens and the productivity of farming activities. Most of our courses are offered in Kiswahili, and we teach all organic and natural methods, strictly no use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. 

The Kiswahili 2-week foundational Practical Permaculture Design Course explores various topics such as soil fertility, natural farming, water management, natural pesticides, animal keeping, plant varities and choice, nursery managment, natural medicine, and beekeeping, amongst others. The course is teaching foundational Permaculture approaches and techniques in class as well as practically.
