Malnutrition posed a big challenge for development and children are most vulnerable.  School children can only maximize their potentials and educational outcomes if their nutrition is given attention.  The integrated school nutrition model is an approach that looks at leveraging the nutrition contributions of Bio-intensive school gardens to ensure access and sustainable supply of fresh, nutrient dense, safe and totally chemical free indigenous vegetables which can be used for school feeding programs.  Nutrition education of both children and parents, is key to achieve and sustain improved nutrition status of school age children. Scaling the integrated school nutrition model, bringing it to each and every school can generate the needed nutrition and development outcomes.
