Small farm mechanization for developing countries
Peter Crossley and John Kilgour, with a chapter by J. Morris
The approach adopted in this book is that, in a given farming situation, there are certain tasks that need to be carried out in order to produce a crop, and certain conditions exist which will affect the way these tasks can be carried out. It describes the characteristics of a number of alternative ways of performing the tasks, and aims to familiarize the reader with the engineering principles required in order to be able to analyse what is happening, to choose between alternatives, and to improve the performance of the alternatives where it is lacking.
