This plenary presentation will discuss how developing countries (especially Haiti) can be competitive in aquaculture production and protect their environment. Even though world food fish aquaculture rose to over 70 million tons in 2015, developing countries contributed less than 8% in volume and 3% in revenues. The plenary session will show that by duplicating the Haiti example in other countries it is possible to increase contributions in volume and in revenues.
