Pest management: A new concept needs a new educational approach
G. D. Peterson

This two-part paper is meant to serve as a brief introduction to the basic concept and theory of pest management and to consider the growing need for professional pest-management consultative and advisory services in agriculture. The provision of the scientific knowledge and technical training required by future pest-management consultants suggests the need for a new educational approach.
