Plantwise is a global programme, led by CABI, to increase food security and improve rural livelihoods by reducing crop losses. We work with countries to provide good advice to farmers at local plant clinics, and now this advice is available in your factsheet library wherever you go.
Plantwise Factsheets are written by partners in Plantwise countries specifically for farmer needs. They give a quick outline of how to recognize a crop problem, a little background information about the problem, and step-by-step instructions on how to manage the problem. Factsheets may go into detail about one particular management technique, or may list a number of techniques. Every factsheet is supported by photographs to help explain the problems and the remedies.
Plantwise Factsheets are reviewed by local farmers in the countries where they are written to ensure the information is easy to understand and practical to use. They are also validated by technical reviewers to check that the recommendations are safe and follow sound scientific principles.
