The idea for a book "Where There is No Vet" was conceived years ago. Work was officially started in 1985 by the late Dr. Bill Baker who worked as a veterinarian in Haiti for eight years. Dr. Baker recognized the important role of livestock in the lives of most rural people in the world. He wanted to develop a useful book for people living in areas “where there is no veterinarian." This book expands that original vision and is written for anyone interested in livestock health, regardless of whether they own livestock themselves.
