PANEL: Scaling up of conservation agriculture through marketing inducements
Session: Scaling up of conservation agriculture can be enhanced through marketing inducements described in two different initiatives. You will hear of case studies of introducing farmers to contract farming & pre-financing and of partnerships which have resulted with research institutes, government and others which have continued to grow as farmers access markets collectively.
Biographical information: James Hill Aringo - PAG SDS Uganda, has worked with farmers in the area of agribusiness focusing on production, bulking and collective marketing since 2016, in the areas of Serere and Soroti central Teso. Lawrence Lwanji of Diocese of Central Tanzania holds a MSc. in Development Policy and Practice and a Diploma in Community Health; he is DCT’s M&E Officer, experienced with monitoring and evaluation, community mobilization, gender and women empowerment, policy advocacy, marketing, food security, micro financing, emergency and humanitarian and development programming.
