Bio Data:
Mark Halstrom has had a focus on community development in various capacities over the years. His university degrees are a B.A. in Business Administration & Economics and a B.S. in Fisheries Biology. His M.S. degree is in Fisheries & Allied Aquacultures. He operated his own commercial fishing business for 5 years early in his adult life. Over the 30 years Mark has been on staff with ReachGlobal he has had various responsibilities in developing outreach projects. Mark initiated rural grassroots development projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo by training village agents and organizing projects to address agriculture and fish culture development, and improve water and environmental conditions of rural people. Mark then started the international coordination for the relief and development work of ReachGlobal. In 1996 Mark and his family established city work in Dar es Salaam to support church and educational projects. During his time in Tanzania Mark served in various leadership capacities with ReachGlobal as Team Leader and Field Director. He was also Board Member of Haven of Peace Academy and Development Manager of the school. Since 2011 Mark has been involved with international community development projects for ReachGlobal. When he joined Commission To Every Nation in 2014 he continued training international partners in East Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.. Mark is married to Jan and has four adult children and two grandchildren.
