We are pleased to inform you that the next ECHO forum on sustainable agriculture is expected in Ouagadougou in September 2016.
This ECHO forum aims to strengthen the capacity of people struggling against hunger and poverty by serving the poor in Africa. Plenary sessions will be conducted for three mornings by resource persons and will be followed by workshops in the afternoon. Focus groups will be led by regional agricultural officials and experts, including yourself if you have ideas to share with the participants. Feel free to submit a topic and a time you could be granted. Proposals will be chosen by relevance to the forum's stated topic.
Participants are encouraged to arrive on Monday, September 26, 2016

Cost
Participation in this West African Forum ECHO expenses amounted to 65 000 FCFA (US $ 120) per person if paid on or before September 5, 2016. All payments made after this date (September 5 ) will be 70 000 FCFA (US $ 130).
If you come as a couple, you will pay an extra $ 30000F CFA
Your participation fee covers:
- All meetings and media
- The lunch and coffee break in the morning for the three days of the workshop).
- Travel for practical outputs within the framework of the forum
- Transport to / from the airport for Pacific Hotel
Accommodation costs are not included in the registration fee. It is important for each participant to make arrangements for their own accommodation during the forum. Rooms are available at a special rate at the Hotel Pacific where the forum will be held.
Payment Options
Paying in American Dollars:
Once you complete the online registration, we ask you to follow the link that allows you to make your payment online by credit card.
Paying in FCFA:
If you pay in CFA instructions will be given on how to do it as soon as you are registered.
Online registration is recommended and reduce costs of participation. However, ECHO understands that payments by credit card are not possible everywhere. We accept payments in FCFA by bank transfer to the account opened for this purpose at ECOBANK Burkina Faso. It is also possible to pay on arrival in Ouagadougou forum.

Pacific Hotel gave us a special rate. For the reduced rate please note in your reservation email that youare booking the room for the ECHO forum. The tariffs that were given to us are:

We inform you that Pacific Hotel has a lovely swimming pool that you can use for free. Please bring swimming attire.
In addition, the hotel offers free WIFI.
Other Options
Other hotels or guest house in Ouagadougou are available not far from the hotel or meeting is held. Each participant is free to choose their place of accommodation. However, the forum has no budget for transportation from their hotel instead of the forum.
Food
In order to minimize costs, breakfasts and evening meals are not taken into account by the forum, but a coffee break is provided each morning at the break.
The Pacific Hotel is located near the Avenue of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and is not far from restaurants at affordable prices where you can take your dinner. A restaurant directory will be made available during the forum.
A closing banquet is planned at the end of the closing ceremony and is included in your registration fee.

Post Event Workshops
A field trip is scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2016. Further information will be provided later.
Our wish is to visit a site demonstrating successful examples of sustainable agriculture and appropriate technology being used to help the poor.
You may express your interest in participating in this trip when you register online. (Additional costs may apply.)
Presenters
ECHO forums are much more networking opportunities. This means that you, the participants, are the most important resources. Please, feel free to make topic suggestions for practical presentations during the sessions of the afternoon. At other ECHO conferences around the world, the participants discussed the projects which have been successful, a "good idea" and why it failed, a future plant, how to integrate agriculture activities Church, etc.
If you are interested in a presentation of about 45 minutes during a workshop of the afternoon, please contact Noemi Kapi KARA knoemi@echonet.org later than August 30, 2016.
There will be huge opportunities for networking between the participants of the forum and invited resource persons.
Exhibition Space
An exhibition space of different resources will be open to development organizations that wish to do business. Tables will be available to organizations that will be able to display posters and material for their promotion. In addition, books, brochures, CDs and other type of tool may be sold in these places. The exhibition space can be reserved / purchased with your registration. The cost of renting these exhibition spaces 10 000CFA for 3 days of exposure.
Assistance for visa to Burkina Faso
You may need a visa to visit Burkina Faso. If you come from Europe or North America, or a country that is not a member of ECOWAS / ECOWAS make sure you have your visa before coming to Burkina Faso. For those coming from Africa, it is advisable to have your visa entries to Burkina Faso in your country before coming.
Invitation letter
Some participants may need a formal invitation letter before they leave their country or to obtain a visa. If you are concerned about this situation, please contact Noemi KARA (knoemi@echonet.org) and we will make every effort to send you this letter of invitation as soon as possible.
