- Abstract,MOJ Food Processing & Technology, 2017 Two drying methods (solar and oven) were used to dry a variety of mango. We have a drying yield of 33% for sun dried mango versus 26% for oven dried mango; Relative humidity is 14.17%0.01 for sun dried mango compared with 8.25%0.01 for oven...
- Abstract,Journal of Food Processing & Technology, 2016 Open-air sun drying is a conventional source to dry plants, seeds, fruits, meat, fish, wood, and other agricultural or forest products as a means of preservation. Sun drying of crops is the most widespread method of food preservation in...
- Abstract, Peanut Science, 2018 An indirect, passive, wooden dryer, with a galvanized steel panel (4.5 m2 ) and four wire mesh shelves (2.62 m2 each), was constructed in Kumasi, Ghana. The dryer was evaluated for its capacity in drying of freshly-harvested in-shell peanuts on a single layer (8.5...

- Abstract,Journal of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2017 May Agriculture is fighting many tough challenges to successfully meet the demands of the growing population. Not just production but effectively storing and utilizing the produce is also important. Preservation of agricultural...
- Abstract,IOSR Journal of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, 2014 Drying is an essential process in the preservation of agricultural products. Drying preserves foods by removing enough moisture from food to prevent decay and spoilage. Drying of foods, the key is to remove moisture as quickly as...
- Abstract,J Food Technol Pres 2016 Drying of food is perhaps the oldest method of food preservation. Conventional drying technologies have now been used on commercial scale for drying numerous food products. Different methods of drying are associated with advantages and limitations. Natural and...
- Abstract,International Refereed Journal of Engineering and Science (IRJES), 2015 Solar drying is one of the application of solar energy. Drying means moisture removal from the product. Drying is helpful in preserving food product for long time; it prevent product from contamination. Direct solar...
- Abstract,Agricultural Engineering International, 2009 A solar dryer with thermal energy storage was developed for intermittent drying of cocoa beans. The prototype was built using readily available local materials. Drying mechanism was based on a combination of convective heating and direct...
