Charbon à usage agricole
Le biochar est le produit solide carboné de la pyrolyse de la biomasse qui peut être utilisé comme matière première chimique à usages multiples tels que la production d'énergie et l'adsorption de polluants. En particulier, l'application de biochar dans le sol est de plus en plus courante, ce qui peut réduire la consommation d'engrais, augmenter les rendements des cultures et séquestrer le carbone.
